The Divide” tells the story of seven individuals striving for a better life in the US and UK, where the top 0.1% owns as much wealth as the bottom 90%. The film shows how virtually every aspect of our lives is controlled by the gap between rich and poor.

A reception begins at 6:30 pm with the screening at 7 pm, to be followed by a brief conversation.

The screening is part of the “Controversy & Conversation” series, a collaboration between the Austin Public Library and the Humanities Institute’s Difficult Dialogues Program at the University of Texas. More information online.
