Date: November 10, 2015
Time: 4:00 pm  to  9:00 pm

The Humanities Institute of the University of Texas will host two screenings of the film “This Changes Everything,” inspired by the book by Naomi Klein, in advance of Klein’s talk the following day.

Directed by Avi Lewis, “This Changes Everything” re-imagines the challenge of climate change, presenting seven portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing. Klein’s narration connects the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Throughout the film, Klein argues that we can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better.

There will be two screenings, at 4:30 and 7 pm, with large crowds expected for both; first come, first seated. More information online.
