The Texas Black Arts Foundation joins MonkeyWrench in screening “Bastards of the Party,” a documentary about the rise of street gangs in Los Angeles that frames the Crips and the Bloods as the “bastard offspring” of the Black Panther Party and the US Organization in the mid-1960s.
