In the documentary film “I Am Not Your Negro,” director Raoul Peck envisions the book James Baldwin never finished, “Remember This House.” The result is a radical examination of race in America, using Baldwin’s original words and archival material.

The screening, which begins at 6:30 pm and will be followed by a discussion led by Jennifer Wilks, a professor in English and African and African Diaspora Studies, is part of the “Controversy & Conversation” series, a collaboration between the Austin Public Library and the Humanities Institute’s Difficult Dialogues Program at the University of Texas.
