University of Texas historian Daina Ramey Berry and Rutgers University historian Kali Nicole Gross will discuss their new book, A Black Women’s History of the United States. Berry, the Oliver H. Radkey Regents Professor of History and Associate Dean for Graduate Education Transformation, is also the author of The Price for their Pound of Flesh: The Value of the Enslaved, from Womb to the Grave, in the Building of a Nation. Gross, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of History, is also the author of Hannah Mary Tabbs and the Disembodied Torso: A Tale of Race, Sex, and Violence in America.
